05 May Everyday life in communist Bulgaria: The Red Flat

We are more than happy to announce our newest project called the Red flat , a museum like space dedicated to the everyday life of Bulgaria during communism ( 1944 – 1989 ). The place is meant to be an experience for all your senses.

Situated in a real residential building, typical for the city center of Sofia, the Red Flat is taking you back in time to the 80s, the last decade of the communist regime in the country. TV, radio, telephone, record player, magazines, books, toys and everyday items are telling you stories from the Iron curtain time.

The apartment is in cooperation with our main partners from 365 association who are behind successfull city walks like Free Sofia Tour and Sofia Communist Tour.

Starting point is our hub at 24 Ivan Denkoglu street, where you can get further information and buy tickets ( adults 9 euro, children under 14 years 4.50 euro ). Visitors receive an audio guide in English or Bulgarian and are welcomed by a local host.
