When lighting for the first time, let the candle burn for at least 1 hour until the wax melts to the edge of the jar. Wax has a memory and this way you will ensure that the candle burns evenly until the end. Before each subsequent lighting, trim the charred part of the wick to ensure proper burning of the candle.
